Check Proxy Settings

If the proxy settings seem to be invalid, it can mislead the Internet Explorer from taking the correct route which results in the error. In order to check if the proxy settings are correct close IE and then

Hold Windows key on your keyboard and then press R. You will get Run Dialog box wherein you need to type- inetcpl.cpl and then press- OK

Head to the tab – Connections. Now click – LAN Settings on the connection tab.

Now check the box with the option- Automatically detect settings while the other two boxes will remain unchecked. Click- OK and then close all the windows. Restart your Internet Explorer.

Reset your Internet Explorer

Resetting your Internet Explorer will automatically restore all the custom options and settings in Internet Explorer. Don’t ‘worry your bookmarks will remain in your browser.

Hold Windows key on your keyboard and then press R. You will get Run Dialog box wherein you need to type- inetcpl.cpl and then press- OK

Now click the tab- Advanced and then click the button – Reset. Now check the box- Delete Personal Settings and hit – Reset.

This will reset your Internet Explorer settings to default settings.

Once the IE is reset try opening it again and check if it works. In order to get back your Bookmark Bar simply hold the key combinations- CTRL + SHIFT + B.

Verify IP Address

Incorrect IP address and settings can stop you from getting connected to the internet which in turn also results in the error “Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage

Hold Windows key on your keyboard and then press R. You will get Run Dialog box wherein you need to type- ncpa.cpl and then press- OK

Right, Click- Local Internet Connection in case you have a wired connection and in case you have a Wi-Fi connection right click- Wireless Network Connection. Click- Properties from the drop-down menu.

Double click- Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Choose- Obtain an IP address automatically. Select- Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click- OK and then close the windows.

Restart the system.
